Hanakotoba, the language of flowers

This collection is inspired by several trips I did in Japan. Colours palette are soft, pastel and the flowers used in my design remind the world of Hanakotoba, which mean the langage of flowers in Japanese.

The scarves are inspired by gardens and places I observed over there. Japanese prints and textile pattern were also part of my inspirations to create the design.

Hanakotoba is used in Japan for gardens and art. Each flower has a particular meaning who leads to an emotion and a design full of meaning for the viewer. The scarf’s design reflects this philosophy : daisy means faith, the hibiscus is gentle, iris is bringing good news and the peony translates bravery.

The silk scarves presented in the gallery were made on demand and tell a story created exclusively for one customer. But, for my artistic research, some of them are created without order and are available in the shop.
