Satin

Silk satin, or silk charmeuse is distinguish itself by the pearly naturel sheen on the fabric. Airy and fluid, she possesses one matte side and one shiny. Its shine gives to the colours a particular aspect, pearly and vivid. Opaque, the fabric is very soft and comfortable to wear.

Crêpe

Silk crêpe is a transparent silk. Airy and featherweight, it’s made with twisted threads that give a distinct, pebbly texture to the fabric. Crêpe has a matte sheen with a slightly rough surface. It gives to the colors a beautiful transparency while they remain vivid.

Twill or Serge

Silk twill, or serge, is a sturdier fabric in a twill weave. You can recognise a silk twill by its characteristic : diagonal stripes. Plain, the colors are on it vivid and luminous.

How to take care of your silk scarf?  

  • Use cool water and an adapted washing product for silk. Don’t use soap, detergent or washing powder.

  • No more than 5 minutes into the soapy water and rince.

  • To dry it a bit, squeeze it gently in your hands.

  • Let it dry flat or on a hanger but don’t use clothespins.

  • Avoid the sun to let it dry.

  • You can iron it on the backside, low temperature or on “silk” mode

  • A dry cleaner is perfect as well ;-)
